The health card is your proof that you are covered by health insurance and entitled to free medical care. Therefore, you should always bring your health card or the app when visiting the doctor.

Min Sundhed App provides access to all your health data registered in the healthcare system. This includes hospital records, test results, medications, visits to specialists, dentists, physiotherapists, psychologists, and more. You can view referrals, except those for X-rays, scans, or your child. For these, you must contact the referring doctor

My Health Platform displays your data from hospitals in the Capital Region of Denmark and Region Zealand. You can view your appointments, medical records, and test results. You can book appointments, complete questionnaires, and send emails to the department. Referrals are not visible on this platform.

The Blue European Health Insurance Card demonstrates your right to receive medical treatment on the same terms as citizens of the country you are visiting. You should use it when traveling to an EU country, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, or Switzerland. It cannot be used for planned treatments that can reasonably wait until you return to Denmark.

If you work in Denmark but live in another EU/EEA country (i.e., EU member states as well as Iceland, Norway, and Liechtenstein) or Switzerland, you may be eligible for a special health card. This card allows you to receive treatment in Denmark on the same terms as everyone else
